Union Township Rescue Services

Union Township is covered by four different rescue services. When a 911 call is placed to report a medical emergency within the Township, it will be routed to the Pattenburg, Clinton, High Bridge, or Quakertown Rescue Squads, depending upon the emergency location.
The Pattenburg Rescue Squad is located at 590 County Rt. 614 and is the first responder for a large portion of Union Township, in addition to areas within Bethlehem and Alexandria Townships. Pattenburg Rescue relies upon volunteers to provide its night services, and is always looking for new members. High Bridge Emergency Squad covers Route 31 along the Spruce Run Reservoir and the area of Union Township north of Van Syckel’s Road west to Henderson Road. The Clinton First Aid and Rescue Squad handles all of the emergency response duties for the town of Clinton, in addition to portions of Franklin and Union Township. Its primary service area within Union Township is bounded by Route 513, Race Street, and Exit 13 on I-78. The department provides pre-hospital emergency medical services and rescue services (vehicle extrication, water rescue, collapse, trench, rope and confined space rescue) to the town of Clinton, and portions of Clinton Township, Lebanon Borough, Franklin township and Union Township. The southern portion of Union Township is protected by Quakertown Volunteer Emergency Medical Services, Inc. in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County.
